Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 16 April 2026
1. Our Commitment
Restassure AI Ltd is committed to making restassure.app usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the device used. Under the Equality Act 2010 we have a duty to make reasonable adjustments so disabled users are not placed at a substantial disadvantage when using our service.
2. Standard We Aim For
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 Level AA published by the W3C. WCAG 2.2 AA is the level referenced by UK government accessibility guidance.
3. How We Build For Access
- Keyboard navigation across all interactive elements.
- Visible focus indicators on links, buttons and form controls.
- Colour contrast reviewed against the 4.5:1 WCAG AA ratio for body text.
- Semantic HTML and ARIA labels where native semantics are insufficient.
- Form fields labelled and associated with inputs.
- Touch targets sized at least 44×44 px on mobile.
- Eight-language UI (English, Mandarin, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Italian, Arabic) including RTL support for Arabic.
- Animations kept subtle and respectful of the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query where applicable.
4. Known Issues
Restassure is under active development. We are aware of the following areas that may fall short of WCAG 2.2 AA and are prioritising them:
- Some venue photographs sourced from the Google Places API do not carry descriptive alt text beyond the venue name. We are generating more descriptive alternative text.
- The interactive map component (Apple / Google Maps) relies on the upstream provider's accessibility implementation; a non-map list view of the same results is always available.
- Some embedded third-party booking iframes may not meet WCAG 2.2 AA; we route around these where possible.
- Screen-reader announcements during AI-generated result streaming are being refined so updates are announced politely.
5. Testing
We test new features with automated tooling (axe DevTools, Lighthouse) and with manual keyboard and screen-reader checks (VoiceOver on macOS / iOS, NVDA on Windows). Automated checks do not catch every issue, so we rely on user feedback to close gaps.
6. Alternative Formats and Reasonable Adjustments
If any part of Restassure is inaccessible to you, or you need information in an alternative format (for example large print or a plain-text email summary), please contact accessibility@restassure.app. We will respond within 10 working days and will provide the content in a suitable format where reasonably possible.
7. Enforcement
If you contact us and are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), which is the body tasked with enforcing the Equality Act 2010 in the context of services to the public: equalityadvisoryservice.com.
8. Preparation of This Statement
This statement was prepared on 16 April 2026 following an internal review of the site against WCAG 2.2 AA. It will be reviewed at least annually and updated when material changes are made to the site.
